Hey everyone, I'm alive again! These two weeks at Uni have been crazy but now I have a little break from exams and presentations so I'm trying to get my life back (before the crazyness starts again right before Christmas holidays...) On Friday at school we were counting minutes and when the super hard week was finally over I felt so happy I wanted to scream and jump around. And this weekend was perfectly relax, I didn't even think about school. The only thing I should have done was Spanish homework but even that felt impossible so I decided to take it easy and woke up at 6 this morning to do them.

Friday night I spent time with my Dutch friend W. We had dinner at a Sushi buffet at Bastille. It was delicious and so much fun ordering all the weird portions we had never tasted. And it's so cheap! Only 16 euros and you can eat as much as you want. But if you order something and don't eat it, then you have to pay more. We ordered something that in the picture looked like a boal of various pieces of fish but actually there were like three pieces of fish on the top and the rest was just rice. We really had troubles finishing all the rice because a) we had eaten too much and b) we are not experts in using chopsticks... :)

 

Hey kaikki, mä oon elossa taas! Viimeset kaks viikkoa koulussa on ollu ihan hullun kiireiset, mutta nyt on onneks pieni tauko kokeista ja esitelmistä eli koitan taas ehtiä tehdä jotain muutakin kun opiskella (ennen kun kamala koe- ja esitelmäputki alkaa taas alusta vielä ennen joulua...) Perjantaina koulussa me laskettiin minuutteja ja kun raskas viikko viimein oli ohi, olin niin ilonen, että teki mieli kiljua ja hyppiä ympäriinsä. Ja tää viikonloppu oli ihanan rento, mä en edes ajatellut koulua. Ainut asia, mikä mun ois pitänyt tehä oli espanjan läksyt, mutta sekin tuntui niin mahdottomalta, että päätin vaan ottaa rennosti ja heräsin tänä aamuna kuudelta, että ehin tehä ne.

 

Perjantai-iltana näin pitkästä aikaa hollantilaista ystävääni W:a. Me syötiin Bastillella Sushi Buffetissa. Ruoka oli hyvää ja oli hauskaa tilata kummallisen näköisiä annoksia, joita ei oltu koskaan kokeiltu. Ja se on ihan älyttömän halpaa! 16:a eurolla saa syödä niin paljon, kun haluaa, mutta jos tilaa jotain, eikä jaksa syödä kaikkea, niin sit täytyy maksaa lisää. Me tilattiin jotain, mikä kuvassa näytti kalalajitelmalta, mutta oikeesti siinä oli ehkä kolme palaa kalaa ja kalojen alla iso kulhollinen pelkkää riisiä. Me ei meinattu millään saada syötyä kaikkea riisiä, koska a) me oltiin syöty niin paljon ja b) syömäpuikoilla on kauheen hankalaa saada otetta pienistä riisin paloista... :)

Then saturday, work and after that: party time! It's always fun partying with my favorite French friends (+ T who's not French), this time we celebrated P's 30th birthday. She had reserved an upper floor from a bar just for us and the theme of the evening was "chic détail choc", meaning that you should dress chic but add a shocking detail to your outfit. P gave us as an instruction: "le détail qui tue", and took it literally herself bringing a gun. I didn't wanna look ridiculous so my detail was just shocking glitter eyes. Although it was the most shocking for me because I didn't see much with my fake brown contacts...

Sitten koitti lauantai, ensin töitä ja sitten: party time! On aina kivaa käydä ulkona mun parhaiden ranskalaisten kavereiden kanssa (ja T:n, joka ei oo ranskalainen). Tällä kertaa me juhlittiin P:n 30-vuotis synttäreitä. P oli varannut yhestä baarista yläkerran vaan meidän käyttöön ja illan teema oli "chic détail choc", eli asun täytyi olla tyylikäs, shokeeraavaa yksityiskohtaa unohtamatta. Itse en halunnut näyttää naurettavalta, joten tyydyin vain shokeeraavaan glitter silmämeikkiin. Jotta en näyttäisi ihan samalta kuin yleensä, ostin ruskeat piilarit, mutta taisin olla itse eniten shokissa, koska en nähnyt niillä paljon mitään...

My personal favorite was B who came chic and handsome as always but wearing flip-flops. Everyone was staring at him when he walked around in the bar.

But we should'n forget that this was a birthday party so of course there was a beautiful birthday-girl, prestiges cakes and wonderful presents!

Mutta ei unohdeta, että kyseessä synttärit ja synttäri-bileisiin kuului totta kai kaunis päivänsankari, upeita kakkuja ja ihania lahjoja!

The party was cool and it was great to see you all. Hope everyone had fun and thanks P for organizing! And thanks M for walking me home. :)

I'm quite proud of myself because after all this, I woke up early on Sunday morning and went to Zumba and Body Attack. And then I cleaned up my apartment but that took the last energy I had so I gave up the idea of even thinking about school and went to my big sis M's place. She had cooked for me as always and she knew how to spend a perfect Sunday evening: girl-talk, chocolate and a romantic movie, could something be more relaxing? M's movie collection wasn't huge but we found "When Harry met Sally". We came to the conclusion that Harry is ugly, same as all the other men in the film but that Sally still loves him so maybe we're too superficial and thinking too much about looks. Sally and Harry were so cute together that we almost started to cry. But at the same time we felt hopeful that one day we'll find true love too. Waiting for that....

Juhlissa oli huippu kivaa ja oli ihanaa nähdä taas kaikkia. Toivottavasti kaikilla oli hauskaa ja kiitos P! Ja kiitos M, että taas saatoit mut kotiin. :)

Oon aika ylpeä itestäni, koska kaiken tän jälkeen, heräsin aikasin sunnuntaiaamuna ja menin Zumbaan ja Body Attackiin. Ja sen jälkeen siivosin, mutta siihen meni mun viimeset energiat enkä siis viitsinyt edes ajatella mitään kouluun liittyvää. Sen sijaan menin isosiskoni M:n luo. Se oli kokannut mulle ja se tiesi, miten vietetään täydellinen sunnuntai-ilta: höpöttelyä ties mistä, paljon suklaata ja romanttinen leffa, voisiko mikään olla rentouttavampaa? M:n leffakokoelma ei ollut suuri, mutta me löydettiin "Kun Harry tapasi Sallyn". Me tultiin siihen lopputulokseen, että Harry on ruma, niin kun kaikki muutkin leffan miehet, mutta että Sally kuitenkin rakastaa sitä ja ehkä me ollaan siis liian pinnallisia ja keskitytään liikaa ulkonäköön. Sally ja Harry oli niin söpöjä, että meitä alkoi itkettää, mutta samalla meille tuli toiveikas olo, että jonain päivänä mekin löydetään meidän unelmien prinssit. Sitä odotellessa...

And now it's Monday again... But something really surprising happened today: after almost five months of waiting, I finally got my own mailbox, yey!

Ja taas on maanantai.. Mutta tänään tapahtui jotain ihmeellistä ja yllättävää: melkeen viiden kuukauden odottelun jälkeen sain vihdoin oman postilaatikon, jee!
